Japan Meme: Day 28
Map of the world's lightning strikes

Wikileaks summary

New kanji in, old kanji out I've never seen monme before, but utsu turns up all the time in rock music and wangsty anime themes (all my favourites, basically).

Still sick, but should recover sufficiently to see Space Battleship Yamato tomorrow. The worse thing is that it's draining. I have no energy to do anything but lie in bed with a cat atop me.

Day 28 - A picture of you looking like a weaboo/A picture of you trying to blend in and failing.

I hate the word 'weaboo'. It's used primarily by two groups of people. The first think that American culture should be good enough for anyone and all anime is stupid. The others are possibly more obnoxious. They like a little bit of anime -- the ones for 'adults', like Studio Ghibli. Not Pokemon, which is for kids. They're learning Japanese for a worthy cause, to pick up girls, not to read *cough spit* manga.

Not to mention that the idea that you look stupid just by being a foreigner in another country is repellant.

No photos, I don't have any.
