Apparently, on April 1st, there was also an earthquake in the UK. I don't know if that's true or not, but it's pretty scary if it is.

We're taking the cat to the vet tomorrow for rabies-related blood work. And then, in six months time, he'll be ready to go to the UK without quarantine!

Finally, I went to see Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. Solid State Society 3D in Shinjuku today. No spoilers -- mainly because the plot was incredibly hard to follow for me and I'm not sure if I've got it all down correctly. But there was a climactic battle with an ethereal Kanno Youko track over it (this is HARDLY a spoiler for GitS fans!) and some great tech. The 3D was very hit and miss though. Sometimes it was amazing (tech), others I could maybe chalk it up to artistic interpretation, and others downright wrong (heads and hands).

<.< ... >.> ... <.<

If that 3D monocle actually existed, I would totally get one.

Yeah, same. Just needs a bit more 'steampunk'. :)

2.2 in Blackpool apparently. We've always had little ones from time to time whereas the last recorded tsunami was in Cardiff c. 400 years ago (I happen to know).

That's kind of scary. I thought I wouldn't experience any earthquakes in the UK, particularly since the buildings are less equipped for it.

I was going to say... but you grew up here, then considered that the 3 tremors I've experienced in the last 20+ years were all in Wales/Midlands/North West (which kind of makes sense, geologically). I guess if you were down South you probably weren't affected.
