I went out and bought the latest edition of Weiss Side B today, so here are some previews (read: bad digital camera photos) of the material inside.

Front / Back / Inner colour art / Inner B&W art

The last one is interesting, since it references a very real event that happened in London not so long ago. Any opinions on this...?

Finally, it also had an advert for WARD, which said it would be out on 16th May.

Since I'm posting photos, here are some I took of biwa. I was surprised to find them in the supermarket and, of course, I had to buy them. Really expensive though.

Biwa / Another biwa / More biwa

Possibly copied from a real photograph?

Perhaps, although I was thinking more about the emotions it dredges up. I'm not really sure what to think.
Kasrakasra_c on 25th April 2006 03:20 (UTC)
Looks like I'll have to start stalking my local Kinokuniya. Hopefully it'll turn up before we leave California; otherwise it'll probably be Yaoi-Con before I get my hands on it. (Here's hoping they carry WARD as well. After the tease of Omi in the last chapter, I'm dying to see what comes next!)

Good luck -- if you run into trouble getting it, I might be able to get it for you!

*bounces happily*
Thanks so much for posting the pics!
You so made my day! ^^
Ah, more Side B! I can´t think any coherent thoughts anymore... duh.

What is this biwa? Looks cool... uh yummy? *heh*
And sorry, I just had to correct this. ;p

Williamgenkischuldich on 28th April 2006 10:32 (UTC)
No problem!

Biwa is a type of fruit -- I discovered them after they were featured on Yakitate!! Japan. :)
Ariss Tenohariss_tenoh on 25th April 2006 06:07 (UTC)
Are biwa some kind of fruit?
Williamgenkischuldich on 28th April 2006 10:33 (UTC)
Yep! I've also heard them referred to as a Japanese plum -- but that's not really accurate. They really are their own fruit, and absolutely delicious!
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on 25th April 2006 06:52 (UTC)
They grow Biwa at the schools here, so I get it for free during the year! =D It's the first time I'd ever even heard of the fruit, though. XD But they're so good!!
Williamgenkischuldich on 28th April 2006 10:34 (UTC)
Lucky! Biwa are delicious -- but SO expensive!
mb_tech_net on 25th April 2006 07:05 (UTC)
They're in English? When did this occur? Are any other Weiss in English? If so, where could I get them from?
Williamgenkischuldich on 28th April 2006 10:35 (UTC)
The main text is in Japanese. However, since the action takes place in England, the illustrations sometimes use English.

thanks for sharing. now I'm quite confused. I've seen your translations and i was wondering if those are for the lates issues of the manga. I admit I still have to read them, but since i can't find the scans anymore, I wanted to wait a bit.
Thanks a lot.
Williamgenkischuldich on 28th April 2006 10:36 (UTC)
I'm doing translations from both where I left off AND backwards, depending on what I feel like. ^^ I should do a links list when I post the next translation, I think. ^^

Ah, much Aya love going on there (and w/ his hair growing out, too! *squees*). Interesting that they did use that event for a pic, not quite sure what to think....
Williamgenkischuldich on 28th April 2006 10:37 (UTC)
Yeah, that was my reaction. I confess that I was repelled when a number of fanfics showed up soon after the event that featured various characters reacting to it. So when it turns up in canon... I really don't know.

*spazz* YAY, more Side B. I'll have to start stalking the Australian Kinokuniya website. ^_^
Williamgenkischuldich on 28th April 2006 10:38 (UTC)
Good luck. :)

Thanks for the pics of the new manga. Does anyone know if it's available online anywhere?

Does anyone know if it's available online anywhere?

Amazon Japan has it (mine is en route - http://www.amazon.co.jp/exec/obidos/ASIN/4758052158/). If you mean in NAmerica or from a PayPal source... dunno.
Elfenelfen on 25th April 2006 10:29 (UTC)
Thank you for posting! The images of Aya are quite, quite nice. Like Nekojita, I was squeeing over the idea that he's growing his hair long again.
Williamgenkischuldich on 28th April 2006 10:38 (UTC)
I didn't register that -- it looked like he's had slightly longer hair in the manga for quite a while, didn't it..?
Elfenelfen on 28th April 2006 10:48 (UTC)
I went back and looked at what I have and yeah, it does look like it's been 'slightly longer' in the manga for a while now. I guess in the inner color picture I thought it looks a little longer than before, but comparing again -- not really. Though I suppose there's hope that it might actually starting growing again in the manga?
fieryredqueenfieryredqueen on 25th April 2006 11:07 (UTC)
yay, #5!!! i mast also add to the aya squeeage, because he's pretty and growing his hair out etc...but damn, free wears some sexy shit sometimes. anyone know of any AyaxFree stories?
Williamgenkischuldich on 28th April 2006 10:40 (UTC)
Unfortunately I don't... you could always try writing some! :)
talithax: Ed & Orphetalithax on 25th April 2006 19:02 (UTC)
Thanks for sharing the images.

::pouts:: Am disappointed though in that the cover and back images are... 'recycled' and not new ones.

Oh well. At least the inside colour pic makes up for it.
Williamgenkischuldich on 28th April 2006 10:41 (UTC)
I noticed that some panels had been replaced though -- turns out there is a lot of new 'hidden' art. :)
tirwolftirwolf on 27th April 2006 08:52 (UTC)
What are biwa? A fruit perhaps?
Williamgenkischuldich on 28th April 2006 10:41 (UTC)
Yep, a fruit! So expensive though...
