Enough people were up for a Weiss Kreuz fic exchange, so I made a community for it. Sign up and please promote it in your journal! (If you don't, there won't be anyone but me to write a fic for you.)

I have a little note from the post office that says they have a parcel waiting for me. I'm trying not to get too excited, but the only thing I'm expecting is a BPAL delivery... But if it is, they're pretty quick!

Since I had some can coffee this morning, I didn't want more caffeine during my lunch break. Sadly, this ruled out about 99% of the hot drinks available to me. Instead, I decided to try Hot Plum With Konbu (Seaweed) Extract. I love hot plum, so I figured it'd probably be okay. I took it back to the staffroom and took one sip of it. It was DISGUSTING. It was like salty seaweed soup with a touch of fruitiness. I proceeded to pass it around my coworkers so that they could see how bad it was too. No one drank it at all.

...So then I went to a vending machine and got another can coffee. ^^

Today, a movie called Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru opened. I wonder if I should go and see it...?

Good point: MatsuJun!
Bad point: MatsuJun screwing his sister.

This calls for a poll.

Poll #910408 Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru

Should I go and see it?

YES! MATSUJUN!

No. You're going to hate the story and you know it.

Wait, what!?

I've been waiting for half of forever for this movie to come out. If you get up the nerve to see it I'd really love to hear what you think, because I'm sure Matsujun could even manage to make screwing his sister seem kind of ok. Just because he's that awesome.

...ok, so my answer is motivated entirely by selfishness and love for MatsuJun. XD;
Williamgenkischuldich on 20th January 2007 13:54 (UTC)
My husband already said he wasn't going to go and see it with me because "Some people think all foreigners look alike, so they'll see us together and..."

:(

The storyline sounded appalling. I'm torn. Could be a very pretty trainwreck.

XD! Oh dear. I hadn't thought of that...

Hm, yeah, I agree that the storyline didn't sound all that special - it's basically just a different twist to the old forbidden-love-Romeo-and-Juliet cliche, though I've never read the manga so I'm not sure how valid that opinion is. ^^; But I do love the idea of MatsuJun picking up a role like that, and I'd genuinely love to see how he'd play his character. I don't know, there's just something about an idol like MatsuJun - someone who always has to watch their behavior - playing such an immoral role that I get a real kick out of. :D I can't really explain it. But I think the characters in Boku wa etc etc have the potential to be an old plot's saving grace. Or, you know, at least MatsuJun has the potential. *laughs*

I also thought the trailer was really pretty, and I'm a sucker for good trailers. I'm the type that judges books by their covers. XD
Williamgenkischuldich on 22nd January 2007 15:13 (UTC)
It's interesting when you put it like that. Although I think maybe I won't see it unless I go with a friend, since the storyline will repulse me.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on 20th January 2007 13:51 (UTC)
Do you want to go and see it with me? I'm probably going to go tomorrow. I've been waiting for forever for this movie!!! I have all of the manga too if you want to borrow them (it's pretty long ♥)
Williamgenkischuldich on 20th January 2007 13:55 (UTC)
What time are you going? I work until seven, which means I'll be in Tokyo around 8.00. I think that's a little too late, unless there's a late showing.
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on 20th January 2007 14:06 (UTC)
There is one showing that's at 8:45, but it doesn't end until almost 11 and I have to get up for work at 6 the next day, so it's kind of out for me. I'd have to go to an early showing..... ;__; I would have liked some company too. But I'l let you know if it's worth watching? ^^ (I love the manga, and I LOVE Matsujun, so I was so excited when I first saw the poster a couple of months ago)

By the way, the presale for Bleach tickets is tomorrow morning at 10.
Williamgenkischuldich on 20th January 2007 14:08 (UTC)
Ah, no chance of that then. Let me know how it is then!

Thanks for reminding me! I wasn't keeping track!
百加☆nitaspitas on 20th January 2007 17:19 (UTC)
Sorry to butt in, but how does one get a hold of presale tickets? I'll actually be at home tomorrow at 10, unlike last time...

And which show are you going to try and get tickets for? The week they're doing it in Tokyo is easier for me to get off than when they're doing it in Hyougo....
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on 20th January 2007 23:28 (UTC)
Presale tickets are for mailing list/fanclub members only. They send you out a postcard a few weeks ahead of time that gives the instructions and codes to order. Usually it's easier to get tickets this way, but this time they're only doing it over the phone, so it's going to be a lot harder than normal. ;__;

Mmmm... I'm not sure what day I'm going. I guess whenever I get tickets, since any day is okay for me. ^^
百加☆nitaspitas on 21st January 2007 00:25 (UTC)
Ah, I see. Well, let me know when you end up getting tickets, and I'll see if I can get some for the same day (or if you happen to have any extra ;) Good luck getting tickets! I might still try to get a ticket for the last show in Hyougo, since it's the only one there I can go to there without taking a day off, but it seems pretty impossible....
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on 21st January 2007 00:52 (UTC)
I would give you the number to call, but there's actually a really long set of instructions that go with it, so it wouldn't do any good.. ^^; I'm not too optomistic though..... I've never gotten through on the phone for ticket sales before. I hate hate HATE when they do it this way. -_-;
百加☆nitaspitas on 21st January 2007 01:09 (UTC)
No problem, I'll probably ask my friend to try calling for me on the 4th. She had presale stuff for tenimyu, but not for burimyu. She couldn't get tickets last time, but I could only go on Sunday... Do the weekday Tokyo shows usually sell out fast?
Hi-chan (火ちゃん)hinoai on 21st January 2007 01:34 (UTC)
I'm not sure... Bleach myu isn't as popular as Tenimyu, but I think that it sells out all of the shows pretty quickly now. I might be wrong, though.... it's hard to judge. I used to be able to get tickets really easily, but nowadays it's getting really hard to get Bleach tickets, or at least hard-ER.

Mmmm, I just made a phone reservation for tickets for Monday the 26th. It took 25 minutes of constant calling with 3 different people calling!! I'm a little nervous until I actually go down to the family mart and pick them up and have them in my hand though, since I've never done them over the phone before. :/
ex_yohjidera753 on 20th January 2007 16:16 (UTC)
Not to worry on that promotion...I'll put your community in the weiss_report this week!

I think it's a great idea! ^__^
Ariss Tenohariss_tenoh on 21st January 2007 14:34 (UTC)
Oh! I didn't know there was a Weiss newsletter.
Williamgenkischuldich on 22nd January 2007 15:14 (UTC)
Thank you! Are you all signed up for it...? :)
百加☆nitaspitas on 20th January 2007 17:21 (UTC)
Oooh. My mom bought me a thing of that tea when she was here. Said it was good for you. Told me it was tea. lol, it really does taste like soup. My sister said it was okay if you thought of it as soup instead of tea, but it was too late for me.
Williamgenkischuldich on 22nd January 2007 15:15 (UTC)
Yeah? It's too salty to even be soup though! I don't know what I was thinking...!
菖蒲eye_ame on 20th January 2007 18:03 (UTC)
Weiss Day
Great idea!! :)
We have a similar fest in Russian running now (starting December, with works published in April), which can now be considered annual -- this is the third in a row. And I am enjoying it greatly ;) So -- GOOD LUCK!
Williamgenkischuldich on 22nd January 2007 15:15 (UTC)
Re: Weiss Day
Thanks! I hope you and your friends will sign up too. :)
菖蒲eye_ame on 22nd January 2007 15:18 (UTC)
I pimped it in my English LJ :)
As for me, I'm afraid I do not feel I can write good fiction in a foreign language :\
Owenkidboomerang on 20th January 2007 18:42 (UTC)
Weiss Day sounds awesome! =D I will pimp it! Do things /have/ to be fanfiction, or is art allowed? (Mostly because I have an awesome fanartist in my pocket who might want to participate.)
Williamgenkischuldich on 22nd January 2007 15:17 (UTC)
Hm... a lot of people have signed up thinking they would get fic, so I don't know. I will say that it's okay!
我が愛しき修羅: *twitchtwitch*bemysty on 21st January 2007 11:59 (UTC)
I must say I have a surprising amount of hatred inside me for BokuKoi. Mostly because the manga is incredibly cliched and actually manages to make the whole concept seem entirely *ok*... which it just isn't. Brrrrrr.

But yeah. MatsuJun would make even me think about this. Not particularly long, mind you, but it'd make me think.
Williamgenkischuldich on 22nd January 2007 15:23 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm erring on the side of caution and figure I'd probably hate it. Ah, but GuiltySchu did make me waver a little when she mentioned it would be interesting seeing MatsuJun act in a way completely alien to him. Hmmm... I probably won't see it, but...
But I like being mean D8: tama/kyoamiko_16 on 21st January 2007 19:12 (UTC)
spiffy ^^
will pimp Weiß Day on PoB.
Williamgenkischuldich on 22nd January 2007 15:24 (UTC)
Thank you! :)
