I arrived in the new apartment on Saturday and it seems really good. Currently, we just need to buy more drawers, racks and curtains, connect the internet and sort out the hot water.

Right now, there's a problem with the hot water valve. Somebody painted over it and it leaks. We only found out late Saturday because the landlord didn't book us an appointment with Tokyo Gas as we'd been told as so they had to come round to connect us after the landlord's office had closed. Our only choice was to call on Sunday, but they couldn't do anything. Because it was Sunday. I hope they get their act together soon, because I want a shower!

...And internet, of course. Oh, and I'm quite serious when I say that if you notice the Velvet Under World site has been updated and I haven't posted about having an internet connection yet, TEXT ME AND TELL ME.

Anyway, apart from that, the location is perfect. Rent is cheaper here, so the food is cheaper too. There's a huge park nearby with a river, grass you can walk on(!) and lots of wildlife. Train is very happy too and there's also a nice-looking gym. The main drawback (apart from the lack of hot water) is that the apartment is about fifteen to twenty minutes walk from the station. Still, it only means more exercise, right?

I have drunk too much coffee at this net cafe. *sad face*
