You know this (Anonymous vs Scientology protests) is why we have books called "2001" featuring evil computers called HAL. If a sci-fi author actually wrote something that correctly predicted the future, we'd all laugh at them in disbelief.

I have a day off today, which is my first in four weeks. I'm trying to catch up on all my writing projects, but first I'm finishing off the Weiss Day sign-ups and trying to figure out who can write what. You'll get them by this evening (Japanese time).

From Moonphase:

  • I really haven't been keeping up with anime news, have I? Moonphase highlighted Junjou Romantica for the new broadcast and CD information, but I also noticed they added a cast, probably a long time ago. We have Sakurai Takahiro-san, Hanada Hikaru-san, Itou Kentarou-san, Canna Nobutoshi-san, Kishio Daisuke-san, Inoue Kazuhiko-san, Taniyama Kishou-san, Namiki Noriko-san, Morikawa Toshiyuki-san and Okiayu Ryoutarou-san.

  • Soul Eater cast announced. Cast is Omigawa Chiaki-san, Uchiyama Kouki-san, Kobayashi Yumiko-san, Nadzuka Kaori-san, Miyano Mamoru-san, Watanabe Akeno-san, Takahira Narumi-san, Koyama Rikiya-san, Katou Emiri-san, Ookawa Tooru-san, Uchida Yuuya-san, Kimura Masafumi-san, Kuwashima Houko-san, Sakamoto Maaya-san and Koyasu Takehito-sama.

  • Neo-Angelique Abyss character designs and OP information. I don't know enough about Angelique to say if they're showing off new characters or just the anime versions of established ones. But they do look pretty. The OP, "Joy To The World", will be sung by a seiyuu unit called Orb Hunter 4 (Takahashi Hiroki-san, Ookawa Tooru-san, Onosaka Masaya-san and Ono Daisuke-san).

Oh, I don't know. When I read 'Move On! Move On!' I thought, well he got that wrong because we got contraception etcetc. And then the figures came out about overcrowding in the UK.

Although if you want to be more disturbed, there's a CIA research report on the Internet somewhere which forecasts how the world will go by 2015 and that's been pretty accurate so far!

I guess I was trying to say that the "future" as we're living it now, with Anonymous protests from cyberspace using LOLcat memes against a cult founded by a sci-fi writer is ridiculous. If you wrote it as a vision of the future, everyone would think it was OTT. :)

Stranger than fiction, in other words.

Hmm, wonder if the CIA is helping that prediction along.. just call me suspicious... Would be interesting to read though if you remember where the report is.

Guess I don't get the point of it all. If you belong to the church & agree to their rules, it's your choice. It doesn't mean that you have to join it. Anonymous doesn't exactly sound friendly either...a bit fanatical perhaps?

I don't know... If you read up on the Church of Scientology, it certainly does sound like a cult.

Thanks for the Weiss Day assignment!
Jeebus, Kat, you need to take more time off. Don't work yourself to death, mmkay? Good luck with the writing, too! ♥ Eat lots of 99 gyouza.
