New writing link, featuring interviews with first time authors: The First Book

One thing, however, gave me pause. One of the questions is about cats. Writers are assumed to have cats.

at the moment I have a dog, a creature, who always demands attention and when sitting on the sofa tries to push the laptop off my knee so he can sit there instead
he's only little so it's a 50/50 battle at the moment
I had to give up my cat because of the feral cats in the area, but i never had tht problem with him

I don't understand why the feral cats would be a problem...?

he never left the garden but they used to come in and attack him because he was a tom, even though he was tiny and fixed...
the vet suggested one of them had to go, the army of feral cats, or Linton, so Linton went to live with my aunt, actually in the city so she didn't have to worry about it,
