It's been a while and I've slowly been building up a backlog of photographs of random items and cherry blossom. Mainly cherry blossom. There are about forty photos in total. The best ones will load, others are linked and some you won't be able to see unless you are logged in properly. Those are the ones of my birthday party, which we held on April 4th.

Random

Radio mast // I was at an unfamiliar station about a month ago and this looked striking against the clear blue sky. (Phone camera)

Ristorante Paradiso booth // The only photo I took at the Tokyo International Anime Fair with my camera phone. It turned out better than the one take with my regular camera.

Riverbank blossom // This isn't sakura and it bloomed very early. The colours really were that striking. (Phone camera)

River bird // I have no idea what kind of bird this is, but I see them occasionally around the river. Crane? (Phone camera)

Sakura tea // Carefully positioned so you can see a pink leaflet with the word 'graduation' on it. I took this picture before I tasted it. (Phone camera)

Pestle and mortar // I went to a shabushabu restaurant for the end-of-term drinking party. Before we started, we ground up sesame seeds to make the sauce. It was SO good. (Phone camera)

Dessert // Here's dessert at the same place. (Phone camera)

Odaiba // For our anniversary, kuroe and I went to a Dragonforce concert in Zepp Tokyo. It was like living in the 80s again. (Phone camera)

Ferris wheel // Odaiba again. (Phone camera)

Blossom // Outside my house. (Phone camera)

More blossom // Same again. (Phone camera)

Mojo Jojo // After Saiyuki Musical at Sunshine City. Remind me to post more about that -- I really enjoyed it and the singing was pretty good this time around. (Olympus camera)

Kit-Kat // Everyone loves Japanese Kit-Kats? Espresso coffee flavour. (Olympus camera)

Party

Alcohol // We stopped at pretty much every convenience store on the way to my apartment (it's a twenty minute walk) and just kept acquiring more and more. (Olympus camera)

Rabbit rum // dilettantka loves rabbits. (Olympus camera)

Sakura cocktails // Sakura flavour... alcohol. (Olympus camera)

Alcohol // Strawberry frosting cocktail. (Olympus camera)

Dilettantka // Bunny love. (Olympus camera)

Kuroe // Beer love. (Olympus camera)

Oresama // Butler love. (Olympus camera)

Blodeuedd and Dilettantka // Gundam love. (Olympus camera)

Sunnysideup34 // More beer love. (Olympus camera)

2Girls, One Cup (NSFW, but not in the way you think!) // Oi! :P (Olympus camera)

Cake // Not a lie. Strawberry, in fact. (Olympus camera)

Inokashira Park

Cherry blossom // Sakura and lamp. (Olympus camera)

Flowers // During the daytime. (Olympus camera)

Cherry tree by the lake // (Olympus camera)

Cherry tree // Same again. (Olympus camera)

At the end of the day... // The reality of hanami parties. All that rubbish. (Olympus camera)

Saitama Blossom

A small stream in Saitama // I could see these trees from the train, so I decided to track them down. (Olympus camera)

Cherry trees // I wrote a haiku about what I saw for Japanese class. 荒川に 桜で描く 縞模様。 It's not the Arakawa river, as far as I know, although it's very close. (Olympus camera)

Cherry trees // Much of the blossom had already fallen into the water. (Olympus camera)

On the river bank // Everything floating in the river is fallen blossom. (Olympus camera)

Blossom // A trail of cherry blossom under the train track. (Olympus camera)

ohh the photos turned out great! :D

I was surprised. A lot of it is to do with the smaller size of photo. Once you shrink them, the blurriness disappears. I actually bought a new camera on Saturday and the results are amazing in comparison.

oh what kind of camera?
Williamgenkischuldich on 21st April 2009 05:04 (UTC)
FinePix Z250fd. It's not top of the range, but it's better than anything I've had before... Last one was 4Megapixels!

Williamgenkischuldich on 21st April 2009 06:49 (UTC)
Which one? The colour? I got purple, the darkest colour they had. :)

The petals floating down the river look beautiful. And happy belated birthday!
Williamgenkischuldich on 20th April 2009 10:13 (UTC)
Thanks. I think I got there a bit too late. Earlier in the season would've been better. But I feel lucky to have noticed such a great location from the train.

And thanks again! :)

I love the river banks; as featured in Beyblade and I was a sad fangirl when I first saw them and saw they were real! I know that sounds a mad thing to say, but...yeah! The landscape in the show I like is real! \^o^/

Your moon is also awesome!
Williamgenkischuldich on 20th April 2009 10:15 (UTC)
Yeah, anime isn't too far from reality... and that's a pretty scary thought!

Thanks! :)
