Eight Line Poem // Volt (Hoshi Souichirou)
Spam From Japan: Pictures of cherry blossom at twilight //

What are these lyrics? I mean I don't even know... Tough to decipher and I think they're supposed to be Deep and Meaningful. I wouldn't even bother with the translation really. My grammar is hideous.

Not related to the Bowie song of the same name, btw!

Eight Line Poem

Kill You Kiss You

Kill You Kiss You

Eight Line Poem
Vocals: Hoshi Souichirou / Lyrics: Aida Takeshi
Composition: Sakurai Shin'ichi / Arrangement: Kouzu Hiroyuki

Tobari wa kodoku no you   tsumetai shizubu no hate
Ishitsu na   yokubou dake
Chi no naka   hairikomu yo

Kill You Kiss You
Utsukushiku chire   osoreru yori
Karamitsuita   senritsu dake ga   ikiru akashi
Kagirinai ryuushi ni   naru no sa

Teashi wo tsunagareteru   me to mimi fusagareteru
Subete wo toriharatte
Jibun no basho wo miro yo

Nigerarenai ZAKO no   yokubou darake sa
Hebi no you   omae no ashi ni matoitsuku

Eien? Shunkan?   dou demo ii ze
Yakitsukusu sa
Aoi senkou   dakishimenagara   kieteikina
kuchihateru dake no   mirai e

Kill You Kiss You
Utsukushiku chire   osoreru yori
Karamitsuita   senritsu dake ga   ikiru akashi
Kagirinai ryuushi ni   naru no sa

Eight Line Poem
Vocals: Hoshi Souichirou / Lyrics: Aida Takeshi
Composition: Sakurai Shin'ichi / Arrangement: Kouzu Hiroyuki

Curtains are like solitude and cut off these cold droplets
Just a different kind of desire
To revel in the midst of blood

Even just one second is futile   In this useless world
My spark runs through this glittering void

Kill You Kiss You
Beautifully scatter you   Better than fear
Is to be wrapped in horror but   It's proof of life
We'll become infinite atoms

Arms and legs can be bound   You can be blindfolded and your ears covered
Everything demolished
Watch where you are

Can't run little fishy   'Cause you're dripping in greed
Like a snake   Clinging to your feet

[...I think I gave up here. This translation sucks!]

Eternity? An instant?   It's all the same
Burn it all
Clad in blue sparks and heading
Into the decaying future

Kill You Kiss You
Beautifully scatter you   Better than fear
Is to be wrapped in horror but   It's proof of life
We'll become infinite atoms

You speak good Russian :))))) Thanks for sharing both the pix and the song! May I share it with the VUW comm?
Williamgenkischuldich on 2nd April 2010 12:41 (UTC)
I speak not a word of Russian, it's just a devious way to get any VUW fans who might pass by this way to check out my blog. :)

You can... I quickly corrected an error I saw in the headings (because I just copied the previous headings and forgot to change everything). I really wouldn't bother with a translation though.

Thanks a million!
Then just for your own amusement you might like to know we don't use those diacritic signs -- they merely show where the stress goes, and that's for dictionaries and kids ;) We would just write Сакура.

BTW, who's next?

Re: Thanks a million!
Thanks! I'm still trying to figure out the writing system... I can recognise my name and several seiyuu and VUW/WK character names. Theoretically, is it possibly to type out Japanese songs in Russian script to make them easier to read? Do you guys do that at all?

Vulcanus. :)

Re: Thanks a million!
Well, there is a Russian system of writing down Japanese text (quite different from the system you use for English), and it is quite tricky -- many ppl prefer using English transcription. Here's the system.

Re: Thanks a million!
Thanks! That doesn't look too tricky... assuming that you can already read Russian. :P

So does this make sense as part of the first line of this song?

菖蒲eye_ame on 2nd April 2010 13:20 (UTC)
Almost!
Тобари ва кодоку но ё: or тобари ва кодоку но ёо, or just тобари ва кодоку но ё -- as the う here in よう just shows it's a long sound (like yo-oh), right?
Williamgenkischuldich on 2nd April 2010 13:26 (UTC)
Re: Almost!
Well, it depends on who's singing it... :)

Re: Almost!
Aah, Kpyasu-san ;)))
But that's the rule ;)

Re: Almost!
...and it's up.

Btw, I made a mistake with the headers for the last one (because I just cut and paste them). So 'Seki Tomokazu' is written in Japanese under singer instead of 'Hoshi Souichirou'. You can fix this with a quick copy-paste though. Sorry for the hassle.
菖蒲eye_ame on 2nd April 2010 19:58 (UTC)
Corrected, thank you!
Williamgenkischuldich on 2nd April 2010 12:43 (UTC)
Btw, Vulcanus or Garagara... any preference for the next song?
菖蒲eye_ame on 2nd April 2010 12:46 (UTC)
My vote is Vulcanus ;)))

Lovely pictures of the cherry blossoms!! Need to visit Japan in Spring one day :(
Williamgenkischuldich on 10th April 2010 11:19 (UTC)
Thank you! You'll have to time it just right though... that's part of the beauty too.
