Writer's Block: Beware the clown puppets!!  
Was there something you were afraid of as a child that just seems silly to you now?


Tulips.

Wait, I can explain. The insides (particularly in the case of yellow tulips) look like tarantulas. That's why.

Probably not a great reason, but I was around three or so.

LOL that made me giggle. I can't recall what a tulip looks like inside, though.

I was afraid of my dresser. The drawer knobs looked like eyes staring at me all night!

No. The things I was afraid of as a child are things I'm still afraid of as an adult! They mostly consist of trouble and insecurity, rather than specific objects.

I was afraid of dying when I was a kid, mainly due to my Christian upbringing, where the focus is on death much of the time. I can remember crying myself to sleep over it.

...but tulips are funnier.
