Kanji/Japanese: I forgot to mention this, but this year's kanji has been declared to be 「暑(ショ/あつい)」 or "warm/heat". This is due to the record-breaking HEAT-wave, the price of vegetables rising suddenly due to the HEAT, the awareness of global WARMing, the Chilean miners survival due to the WARMTH underground and due to Hayabusa's entering Earth's atmosphere. Here's a list of past choices in English

Spam From Japan: The Streets of Tokyo I'm so happy the way these photos came out.

Weiss Kreuz: FIC: All's Fair In Love And War Knight and Ran fic set in Sendai for athena8.

Speaking of Weiss, I noticed a lot of people in the exchange were saying they didn't know much about Schreient, particularly Neu and Tot. Because of that, I decided to type up the following from All That Weiss. It's a quick, hasty translation, so don't take it too seriously. Still, it might help solve those issues about whether Neu is really Asuka or not.

Danke for the translations! I think part of the reason I love WK is because so little of it bothers with continuity or common sense. Somehow learning that they actually put this much effort into storytelling after the fact has me blinking in disbelief.

It also tosses a huge monkey wrench into one of my favorite fanon origins... still possible though! I just thought Tot needed filling in...if you're curious: http://community.livejournal.com/blackcross_user/33826.html

Big big kudos to Koyasu for the horrifying Asuka story. That right there takes Yohji angst to all new levels.

They seem to have also adjusted the ages too. Only Youji and Ken were originally listed as having got a year older during the series (being 21-22 and 18-19), but now Aya (whose birthday falls between theirs) is listed as 'around 20' rather than just '20'. Of course, this also means that Kapitel must have started just after Omi's birthday and finished just before it. *is rambling*

Nice fanon idea!

There's a lot of diagrams showing them being the same person, but I don't think I'd previously seen any explanation of how she appeared to have died and then ended up in Schreient.

Glad to have helped!

Not sure if I'd seen this before or not, but it's great either way. Thanks a lot for translating the info! I used to own a copy of the book, but I sold it as this one isn't enjoyable or useful when you can't read a word in Japanese, most of it is text.
